The Austrian Government adopts an € 18 million emergency aid package for Afghanistan

With its € 18 million emergency aid package, the Austrian Government is determined to help where it is most effective: directly on the ground in the crisis region.

In addition to supporting and providing care for displaced persons in the region, the Austrian government is focusing on helping women and girls. Their situation has dramatically deteriorated as a result of recent events.

Over the past four years, Austria has already contributed more than € 11 million to humanitarian aid and development projects in Afghanistan and to Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
