7 Nigerian nationals repatriated from Austria to Lagos.

In the course of a charter repatriation to Nigeria organized by Germany, a total of 33 Nigerian nationals were handed over to the authorities in Lagos on November 29, 2022 - 7 of them from Austria. The charter operation was coordinated by FRONTEX; in addition to Austria and Germany, Poland also participated. This was the ninth charter operation to Nigeria for Austria this year; in addition, individual returns are carried out on a regular basis.

The individual cases of all persons returned from Austria were comprehensively examined in a procedure based on the rule of law and the asylum procedure was concluded with a negative result. Foreign without a right of residence in Austria must leave the federal territory within the set time limit.
