€16.5 Million EU Humanitarian Aid for Pakistan's Most Vulnerable
The Commission allocates €16.5 million to aid vulnerable individuals affected by conflict and climate disasters in Pakistan.
€15 million will support humanitarian organizations providing food aid, shelter, clean water, sanitation services and assistance to Afghan refugees and their host communities. The remaining €1.5 million will be dedicated to disaster preparedness initiatives, aiming to promote climate resilience, enhance coordination with local authorities and improve emergency response.
The EU also mobilized €30 million in humanitarian aid and coordinated assistance from Member States through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism in response to the devastating 2022 summer floods in Pakistan.
